.Khans of Bollywood is a term used to describe leading male actors of Bollywood, the Mumbai-based Hindi film industry, whose surname are Khan. This term denotes the club that these actors belong to including their success with high salaries and competitive dominance in the industry. The most powerful Khans of the industry remains currently Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. All together, they have acted in seven of the 10 highest grossing Indian films ever. They also have been reported by various resources to command extremely high salary packages up to Rs.50 crores (US$7.5 million) per movie.[1][2][3]

In 2015, Forbes released a list of the 10 highest paid actors in the world. Salman Khan ranked 9th with total earnings of US$33.5 million.[4]

Other actors which are referred as such include Saif Ali Khan, Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Feroz Khan, Fardeen Khan, and Zayed Khan.

His performance in the film and in the thriller Raakh (1989) earned him a Special Jury Award at the National Film Award ceremony. After a four-year absence from the screen, Khan continued to portray leading roles, most notably in the 2006 box-office hits Fanaa and Rang De Basanti. The trailer of Salman Khan's upcoming film Kick was released last week and it instantly became a rage among fans on the internet. The trailer showed Khan in a superhero-like masked getup leaving fans wondering whether their favourite star is playing a superhero in the film.

While that remains to be seen, the interest generated by Khan's look prompted comparison with Bollywood's other famous superhero – Krrish played by Hrithik Roshan.

In order to find out who the fans prefer, Bollywood Life conducted a poll to determine which hero among the two has the better looking mask.

"We received a total of 7081 votes, out of which Roshan Jr has acquired 3912 (55 percent) votes thus beating Salman, who received 3173 votes (45 percent). A neck-to-neck fight, we must say," states the BL report.

So clearly, fans prefer Roshan's Krrish look over Khan's as the ultimate crime fighting hero. Now it remains to be seen whether the Kick star manages to shatter the record set by Roshan's last blockbuster – Krrish 3.

Kick also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in key roles and is slated to release on 25 July.
